6 Indispensable Rules For Sun Protection

1. Do not go outside at noon and try to stay in between 10 am and 3 pm. You should keep sun protection in mind when you're indoors too. Even if your range of activity is indoors most of the time, you'd better use the sun protection products and fix it every 3 or 4 hours.

2. Fix your makeup at regular time. You should rub some suntan lotion every two hours especially after swimming or sweating in exercise. Do not forget areas such as behind the ears, lips and around the eyes because these are very easily neglected places.

Moreover, the cheeks and the "T" part are two most prominent parts on the face, so higher SPF products are suggested. As for the body, the inner thigh and the back are the easiest to be neglected.

3. Wear clothes which can defend UV rays when you go out, eg. finely weaved long-sleeved blouse and pants. Wide-brimmed hat can not only protect the face but hide both ears and the back of the neck.

4. Wear big sunglasses which can truly cover the eyes and the surrounding areas. The lens must pass the test against UV rays to really block 100% ultraviolet rays.

5. Stay away from all reflecting surfaces because they will reflect as high as 85% of ultraviolet rays. Common reflecting surfaces in daily life include sea surface, sandpile, snowy fields and even shop windows on the street.

6. Moms should notice that sun protection starts early. Children of six months should start to use the suntan lotion. Children of less than six months must avoid to be exposed under the sun. Even if you put him or her in a stroller for a walk outside, you should make sure he or she wears long sleeve clothes and hat for protection.
